Kuwana-city, where the mighty Nagara River, Kiso, and Ibi rivers meet, has prospered as a transportation hub since ancient times. It is a place full of history that was once the castle town of the lord of Kuwana and the 42nd post town of Tokaido. The "Ichi no torii" (the first torii gate) that rises above the Shichiri ferry landing is also a symbol of the gateway to the east of Ise(Mie) Province. Located beside the historic Ichi no Torii gate, Kaiseki Ichino was born out of a desire to be the first to experience Kuwana and Ise Province through food. It is a kaiseki-style restaurant where you can enjoy the rich seafood of Kuwana, which is unique to brackish waters, and the rich ingredients of Ise Province with beautiful scenery.
Space
The restaurant, which is a traditional Japanese folk house located next to the first torii gate, has been groomed to create a calm space where you can enjoy the eclectic atmosphere of the Western elements in a Japanese space. From the counter seats, you can enjoy the dignified appearance of the torii gate and the ever-changing face of the Ibi River.
Seasonal Menu
We serve Kuwana's specialty "Hamaguri" (clam) in a hot pot during the season. Enjoy a Kaiseki course meal featuring fresh seafood, meats and vegetables carefully prepared by our chefs, served on a charcoal grill in front of you, along with carefully selected wines and sake to your heart's content.
